Schooling

Schooling horses to jump is essential to their long-term development, so our background with Nicky Richards at Greystoke taught us plenty about the National Hunt game.

We teach them plenty over poles in the covered ride before graduating to outdoors, where they will begin over thick telegraph poles and tyres before stepping up to hurdles.

Patience and teaching the horses good habits, which our jockeys and work riders always do, is a vital part of the learning experience.

I believe we produce horses who jump well and by the time they go to the track they know their job and are ready to do it properly.
