Strutting around the Perth paddock
SHANBALLY ROSE (3.07) will be our only runner at Musselburgh tomorrow as their jumps season gets underway. She’s a lovely mare who has run well there before, finishing second back in February. She needs to go right-handed so we’ve had to wait a while since her win at Perth, which was a fantastic day for the yard and for her owners Mike and Margaret Edwardson plus Caroline Hunter.
It’s a small field and a tight race, one everyone involved will feel they’ve got a chance of winning. She’ll get the conditions she likes and Dylan Johnston gets on well with her, so his ten pounds will come in handy again. She only went up five for the Perth win so hopefully she’s got plenty of mileage left in her revised mark. If she runs the way she did in September we’d hope she’ll be bang there.
Another trip to the winners' enclosure would do...
