Sedgefield

WE head to Sedgefield today with one runner LIMERICK LEADER (3.55) who goes in the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle. Credit to the track, who have put up good prize money for a race in this grade but everyone else seems to have spotted that as well! It’s very competitive and a large field, but I think we’re a big price.

He is a lovely horse who I hope is on a good mark, so I am pretty hopeful he’ll outrun his odds. The one slight question mark will be the ground but if it’s too quick we won’t run him. He’s working very well at home and we’re really happy with him. Fingers crossed he will run a nice race and take home a bit of that prize money.

Limerick Leader popping some hurdles

We were delighted with both of our runners at Perth last week. Jack Devine ran a super race given we felt he might need the run after a break, so that augurs well for the future. And Shanbally Rose was brilliant under Dylan Johnston to give him a winner on his first ride since coming back from a leg break. She’s a lovely mare who has done ever so well for connections. We know the conditions she thrives in so hopefully there will be other fun days ahead with her.

All smiles for Dylan's debrief
