Aazza Returns To Hexham

Rugged up and ready to go

OFF to Hexham today on a magnificent, sunny autumn afternoon with one runner.

AAZZA (1.18) takes her chance in the opening race, starting out over fences for the first time. In all honesty, she’s not really a two-miler but she surprised us over course and distance last season on her first start so we thought we’d try it again!

Hexham is a testing two miles and a track that seems to suit her going on her two performances last season. She’s schooled well at home, faces five rivals and we’ll see how she gets on. She disappointed us a little bit at Musselburgh and Ayr in February and April, so hopefully going back to somewhere we know she likes will do the trick. Fingers-crossed she’ll run well for her owners Isabel and Helen, who both live near us in Chatton - it would be great to get a pleasing result for them.

The seasons are definitely turning, with the cold evening evenings starting to really kick in now. But it means we are getting some fantastic, crisp sunny mornings like today. Steven Dickson, who rides out for us at weekends, took this stunning GoPro footage earlier of second lot.
