Wetherby

FETE CHAMPETRE (2.10) heads to Wetherby today for his second start over hurdles. A hugely impressive bumper winner, he got a bit bogged down in the heavy ground at Kelso the last time and didn’t get home, so we haven’t read too much into that.

He’s a lovely young horse and we expect the better ground today to be more in his favour.

CAILIN DEARG (3.15) will have her first run for us after arriving from Ireland. We bought her at the sales in November and she’s been going very well at home. She’s the one sitting second in the video above, so as you can see she has taken well to jumping after winning a bumper at Wexford in October.

The form of that has worked out okay, with the second and sixth both winning races since. We will learn more about her today. A point-to-point winner, she is for sale so get in touch if you’re interested in joining our yard here at Hazelrigg.

Old yard stalwart PURCELL’S BRIDGE (4.50) makes up our trio of runners at the grand age of 14 in the 3m chase. The plan was to have him running in point-to-points this year but with them cancelled we’ve decided to bring him back to the track.

He’s bouncing at home, ready to go and we’d all love the old fella to run a big race.
