Sedgefield and Doncaster

CAILIN DEARG (4.40) has been a star for us around Sedgefield this season, winning two of her four races there so far. We want to get her qualified for the mares’ final of the Go North series, so that explains the drop back in trip today. Although her wins have been over further, we think she’ll handle the drop back in trip okay because she’s not short of speed. She enjoys it around here so we’ll see how she gets on and we’ll then look forward to the final at Musselburgh.

Tomorrow at Doncaster EAGLE DE GUYE (2.10), above, will be our only runner down in Yorkshire. He needs to take a step forward from his efforts at Ayr and Catterick so far this season, but we think three miles round a big track like this will suit him perfectly. It’s a big field - we were hoping for a few less runners - but he’s going well at home so we’d like to think he can be more competitive today and get involved in the shake up.
